SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
Ensuring access to clean and affordable energy is essential for everyday life. Currently the energy system is undergoing a transition from the fossil fuels-based system to renewable energy sources. However, it raises new challenges due to the limited capacities of energy storage and energy grid.
We contribute to solving the issue of energy congestion, when the transmission capacity of the energy grid cannot meet the electricity demand. By doing this, we are also committed to promoting the increase of the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.
Ideas from Europe pays special attention to improving international cooperation to facilitate access to affordable and clean energy, research and innovation for new energy infrastructure and state-of-the-art technologies.

SDG 9 – Industry, innovation and infrastructure
Ideas from Europe is always looking for revolutionary ideas that can lead to new technologies, products, and services. We also support entrepreneurs in conducting research and development (R&D) activities.
We facilitate knowledge exchange on the national and international levels, in particular in collaboration with developing countries. The focus of Ideas from Europe is on industries such as energy, including the energy security of Ukraine; and biodiversity preservation, via the forensic infrastructure to combat wildlife crime, including forensic education for rangers in South Africa.

SDG 15 – Life on Land
The outcomes of the UN Biodiversity Defence (COP15) create a demand for technological innovations in monitoring, forecasting, and enforcement. Because of this, entrepreneurs and experts on satellite data, remote sensing technologies and forensic innovations can seize market opportunities.
The COP15 agreements influence European and national policies, attracting more funding and interest from impact investors. Due to this momentum, IFE focuses on forming coalitions of data-driven entrepreneurs to develop projects for biodiversity and effective land management using technologies.
We work to mobilise financial resources from public and private sources to conserve and sustainably use biodiversity and ecosystems.
We advocate for enhanced global support for efforts to combat poaching and trafficking of protected species, including by increasing the capacity of local communities.
We promote the integration of ecosystem and biodiversity values into national and local planning, development processes, poverty reduction strategies, and accounts.
